Gold Coast Holiday Homes have put together a list of all our favourite things to do to keep you and the kids entertained this Easter while you’re staying with us.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Brick Masters Workshop
Kicking off with fun for the kids, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has teamed up with Andrew and Damian from LEGO Masters to offer some amazing Brick Masters Wildlife Workshops during these school holidays. Go Wild with thousands of bricks during a 1-hour interactive workshop, before exploring everything Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has to offer! This is a build-and-smash experience. Once you’ve built your masterpiece, take part in the fun game of smashing your build so that other brick enthusiasts can enjoy the experience after you!
Time: Sessions run for 1 hour from 9am to 3:30pm
Where: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Tuffy’s nest by Tuff Nutters, Palm Beach
Tuffy’s Nest is Australia’s largest inflatable playground, measuring a huge 1,200 square metres of endless fun. This jumping castle on steroids is suitable for all ages, keeping children and adults entertained for hours! Try to stick your landing at the giant target pillow, see how high you can get up the climbing wall, keep your balance on the wobbly bridge, enjoy our numerous slides, and much more!
Time: 9am – 5pm.

Cost: Sessions start from 1 hour for $25, less for groups, Children under 5 can be accompanied by an adult for no additional cost.
Palm Beach/Currumbin Pirate Park
The Pirate Park at Palm Beach Parklands got a $1 million refurb last year and has added more spaces to climb, swing, slide, and even walk the plank on a playground resembling a giant Pirate Ship. If you haven’t been to the Gold Coast for a while it’s definitely a non-negotiable for kids. Fuel up at Dune Cafe nearby and bring your swimmers as the sparkling waters of Currumbin Creek are there also. Dogs are also welcome (with an off-leash dog beach area close by).
Hot tip: Arrive early to secure a parking spot close by, or go later in the afternoon. Or, if you’re staying with Gold Coast Holiday Homes in Currumbin or Palm Beach, walk or scooter.
‘Place of Stories’ Boundary Street Park – Jack Evans Boat Harbour Tweed Heads.
Set along the foreshore with water views, you’ll find so much packed into this newly refurbished playground. There are 2 climbing towers with interactive play equipment, a carousel, a double flying fox, multiple swings, a wide slide for 2 people, a suspended rope bridge, and an enclosed slide.
There is also water and sand play, carved wooden animals, musical play equipment, a water pump and sand table.
There are barbecues, shaded seating shaded grass mounds, and Jack Evans boat harbour nearby to take a dip when the kids need a cool down from playing.

Cubby Bakehouse Chinderah
As well as hot Cross buns ‘light and fresh out of the oven’, Cubby Bakehouse offers delicious French croissants, French cakes, Vietnamese Bahn Mi, and mouth-watering salads to name a few. In addition to the delicious coffee, you won’t be disappointed with this gorgeous café stop opposite the Tweed River.
Time: Open 7 days 5:30am to 2:30pm.

Unicorn Seafood Restaurant, Kingscliff
This Good Friday enjoy a seafood feast to be remembered in Kingscliff NSW. Unicorn Seafood restaurant is a family-owned Greek/Mediteranean inspired restaurant opposite the beach. All decked out in blue and white linen tableware, you’ll be transported to the famous Greek islands. Our favourite meals include seafood chowder, scallops and lobster mournay.
Time: Open Thursday to Sunday 11am-9pm

Franc Jr’s famous pizzeria, Coolangatta
What kid (or adult) doesn’t like pizza on holidays? With takeaway and dine-in options, Fanc Jrs famous pizzeria is a solid option for the whole family. Serving delicious Italian meals that will make sure you visit every time you’re in Coolangatta. The old-school restaurant styles need to be noted before going. No bookings. No phone orders. and No BYO. But we wouldn’t recommend it if we didn’t think you’d love it.
Time: Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs : 5-9pm, Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 9.30pm.
